The trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps teases the arrival of Galactus and finally introduces Marvel’s first family into the MCU.
The first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is expected to be one of the biggest superhero movies of 2025, has been published by Marvel Studios.
Galactus, the adversary, is shown in the trailer along with Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and The Thing. The teaser, which opens with supper at the Baxter Building, gives us our first glimpse of the retro-futuristic 1960s setting of The Fantastic Four: First Steps and hints at what appears to be an impending fight in New York.
In addition to The Fantastic Four’s Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics, also known as H.E.R.B.I.E., we witness Ben Grimm both before and after he transforms into The Thing. Both of them appear to like cooking.
In other scenes, we witness Johnny Storm flying about in Human Torch form and Sue Storm momentarily acting as the Invisible Woman. Reed Richards is not seen performing stretchy Mr. But wonderful things.
It’s also important to note the appearance of John Malkovich, who is supposedly portraying Ivan Kragoff, also known as the Red Ghost.
At the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, where Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach shook hands with ecstatic fans, Marvel unveiled the first official trailer.
Julia Garner plays Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson plays Galactus in the forthcoming MCU film, which is scheduled for release on July 25, 2025. The film also features Sarah Niles, Natasha Lyonne, and Paul Walter Hauser. Matt Shakman is the director, and Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, is the producer.
The official synopsis of The Fantastic Four: First Steps is as follows:
Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps presents Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) — as they take on their most difficult task to date against the colorful backdrop of a retro-futuristic world inspired by the 1960s.They must protect Earth from a hungry cosmic deity named Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his mysterious Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner), forcing them to strike a balance between their heroic responsibilities and the strength of their familial ties. It becomes quite personal as if Galactus’ scheme to eat the entire planet and all of its inhabitants weren’t already terrible enough.
At some point in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, fans are hoping that Robert Downey, Jr. will make a comeback to the MCU as the legendary Marvel villain Doctor Doom, or at the very least, be hinted to. Feige confirmed the appearance of the Fantastic Four in both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
