Teen Actor Hudson Joseph Meek dies after falling from a car in Vestavia Hills,
After falling from a moving car, a teenager from Vestavia Hills passed away.
Hudson Joseph Meek, 16, of Vestavia Hills, suffered blunt force injuries after falling from a moving car in the 1900 block of Canyon Road last Thursday at approximately 10:45 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Meek passed away on Saturday night at UAB Hospital from his wounds.
According to his IMDB page, Meek was a well-known actor who portrayed the main character’s younger self in the critically acclaimed movie Baby Driver. Additionally, he appeared as a guest on a number of TV shows, including the NBC drama Found.
“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight,” his Instagram page said in a message over the weekend. “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”
The Vestavia Hills performing arts school Acting Out issued the following statement in response to Meek’s passing:
“The passing of one of AOA’s first and brightest stars has left us all inconsolable. I hope you always shine, Hud. We will miss you terribly.
We ask that you join us in prayer for his wonderful family during this trying time.
The circumstances surrounding Meek’s death are still being looked into by the Vestavia Hills Police Department.
