Pete Carroll’s momentum with the Raiders increases.
The Silver and Black have moved on to a coach whose hair went more silver than black a long time ago after the Raiders failed to acquire Ben Johnson, the player minority owner Tom Brady appeared to be aiming for.
In league circles, there is growing support for Pete Carroll to become the Raiders’ next head coach.
That does not imply that it is finished. It does not imply that he is the one. It just indicates that a number of people who are able to determine which way the wind is blowing think it is blowing directly at Carroll.
He was the Seahawks’ coach from 2010 to 2023, the Jets’ coach in 1994, and the Patriots’ coach from 1997 to 1999. Carroll brought the Trojans back to their former prominence throughout his nine years at USC. In 2013, he also led Seattle to its first and only Super Bowl victory.
He may now be attempting to accomplish the same goal with the Raiders. It won’t be simple. However, if Brady and the Raiders choose to select Pete Carroll, it will be nice to see a coach who won a Super Bowl return to the game.
