Three people killed in pager explosions in Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah,
According to a source close to the organization, the explosions that injured hundreds also claimed the life of a lawmaker’s son. On Tuesday, the Hezbollah group in Lebanon claimed that three individuals were murdered by exploding pagers used by its members.
The Iran-backed terrorist organization stated in a statement that “pages belonging to employees of various Hezbollah units and institutions exploded,” adding that the explosions “killed a girl and two of our brothers.”
Without identifying Israel, it declared that it was “conducting a wide-ranging security and scientific probe” into the reasons behind the “simultaneous” bombings.
The health ministry of Lebanon has issued a warning to hospitals to remain on high alert and asked residents who own pagers to throw them away.
