Sister Kourtney and Kim Kardashian End Their Dolce & Gabbana Argument in a Dreamy SKIMS Partnership with the Italian Brand.
The sisters have reconciled for Kim’s SKIMS x D&G launch after their past arguments over Dolce & Gabbana.
The new partnership between SKIMS and Dolce & Gabbana will go on sale on November 19. The press statement states that the collaboration “merges the Italian lifestyle of Dolce&Gabbana with SKIMS signature comfort and solutions,” which was unveiled on Thursday, Nov. 14.
“Working with my friends Domenico and Stefano on this special collection for Dolce&Gabbana and SKIMS has been an honor,” Kim stated in the press statement. “We have reinterpreted classic Leopard designs and Dolce & Gabbana silhouettes using SKIMS’s renowned fit and comfort. I’m thrilled to announce our alliance to the globe because it is genuinely legendary.”
The next collection, which combines the silhouettes, materials, and styles of the two labels, was photographed by Donna Trope and visual artist Nadia Lee Cohen in “truly Italian everyday settings.”
One of the collaboration’s images shows the Kardashian sisters strolling along an Italian street wearing matching leopard-print catsuits, sporting traditional voluminous hairdo, and drawing adoring glances from onlookers.
In another, Kim is seen leaning out a window while wearing a button-up and bralette with a leopard design. on another picture, Kim is seen relaxing on a chair while sporting a white apron, stockings, and a black sheer mesh bodysuit. Her hair is creatively arranged on top of her head.
For the campaign, Kim and Kourtney also made a few films wearing their high-end, leopard-print SKIMS clothing in the same Italian location. They play and smile a lot, which is very different from the argument the two had a few years ago over Kourtney’s wedding and Kim’s attempt at modeling and working with the fashion firm.
Fans of the Kardashians will remember When Kourtney married Travis Barker in May 2022, she wore a minidress by Dolce & Gabbana. For the wedding, the rest of the family likewise wore clothing from the Italian brand. Kim and D&G collaborated at Milan Fashion Week a few months later.
“I want to be respectful for Kourtney and this journey; I didn’t want to do any of her looks even if I loved them,” Kim said in a confessional during a later episode of The Kardashians in June 2023.
Kim “copying” her wedding with her “business deal” with Dolce & Gabbana, however, made Kourtney cry. She claimed that her sister didn’t seem to care about her feelings.
The next collaboration will include corsets, lingerie, sleep sets, and coutouring pants, all of which are designed to be worn with a variety of outfits. Bra sizes 30A to 38DD and sizes XXS to 4X are available in the collection.
In the press announcement, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana stated, “We have a sincere fondness for Kim and her family.” “This new partnership, which is focused on inclusivity and body positivity—values that are dear to Skims’ hearts and core—was naturally inspired by our shared bond, which is rooted in a long-standing friendship.”
