Riley Keough says that as a teenager, she had to call her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, from prison.
Riley Keough, who was arrested as a teenager, recalled on the phone Her Daddy that she had to phone her late mother Lisa Marie Presley from prison.
As a teenager, Lisa Marie Presley was not precisely performing “Jailhouse Rock” when she received a call from her daughter Riley Keough, who was in prison.
The actress from Daisy Jones & The Six opened out about her “rebellious” adolescence and disclosed that she was detained while she was a teenager.
Riley claimed on the January 15 episode of Call Her Daddy about her late mother, “I had my rebellious moment, too, where I would sneak out and hang out with people I shouldn’t, wasn’t allowed to, and getting arrested.”
The Zola actress went on to say that although she can’t recall ever seeing her mugshot, she can remember the specifics of her encounter with the law.
“It was for…I am unable to say this! Riley admitted that it was for breaking. “I attended a party at my friend’s house without realizing it wasn’t their home. The house was up for sale. When the police arrived, the majority of people fled, and ten or so of us were arrested.
Furthermore, it could have been difficult to deal with her mother’s reaction if she had considered being detained to be a bad thing.
“My mom was pissed!” “Lisa Marie,” Riley said. “She was like, ‘This is on you, girl.'”
She went on, “Fortunately, it wasn’t in the papers.” “I was grounded on my sixteenth or fifteenth birthday, or whatever, and I was grounded for about three months. She was in Las Vegas when I was grounded, so I had to phone her and ask her to come back and get me up at the prison.
Due to the “Sinking In” singer’s unable to come, the Under the Bridge actress had another family member pick her up instead of her mother.
“I’ve never told anyone this!” Riley clarified. “She was like, ‘I can’t get there,’ so she sent my aunt to come get me.”
In the end, the Emmy-nominated actress saw the “edgy” time in her life as a shared experience with her late mother.
According to Riley, “I had a moment as a teenager, and she also did.”
